I have been playing barrage/interrupter, and I noticed that my interrupts, including barrage, take at least 3 seconds to cast. It kinda takes out the whole purpose of the strategy. Well, at least I can still interrupt their attempts to ressurect

No lag for me.. and I think back on my 16 months guildwars life and have honestly never seen this lag to which people moan about.

Only people using a router of any description seem to suffer, whilst there ARE people with routers who never have the problems.

One thing is for certain though, I've yet to meet someone who uses a DSL modem directly to suffer with lag unless they are on Cable & Wireless or certain other dodgy ISP's like Bulldog, AOL or Wannado *hoch spit*

@Alex - Was there some sort of network issue this weekend on the GW side of things? People from Canada, the Midwest and East Coast all experienced it, so it was either on your side, or one of the internet backbones had issues.

Maybe Inde can address the backbone question? (Just asking)

/sarcasm

I was on my way to Fenway to see the Sox and ran into awful traffic on the Mass pike, dam you Red Sox and Fenway it all your fault!

/end sarcasm

I have periodically run into minor lag issues, not really connected to special events, and every time, i do a trace route to see what the traffic is doing on the 'highway'. Every time I find a slower than normal response from a gateway router (a router between two networks or backbones), far from last hops to A-net's servers. When the lag is gone, i check again and voila' no slow responce from the same router or my packets are taking a different route.

Everyone can make sure their home pc/network is running properly, and A-net can make sure there's is running properly, but neither is responsible or able to maintain the connection between the two.

There is a finite amount of traffic the Internet can handle, and lots of things can affect how much traffic is on the highway, its not A-nets fault nor is it anyone's fault at the user side. Who's fault is it when there is a traffic jam on a real highway?

I have to agree with snowman...

Hardly no err=7 in the past 15+ months
Lag only due to severe usage of my own internet connnection or when I pull the plug from my laptop...

I am quite suprised to see it are mostly North American people complaining about this... so maybe the servers in Europe are top notch and in North America a bit Flinstone?
